Photographer's Note
This shot was taken on the way to Yumesamdong in Sikkim. I took this shot because I found a nice comparison of two walls here: a man-made wall for the road and a natural wall (the Himalayan mountains) that divide India and China.

Hi Shaeri,
TWO WALLS... Two nations... Borders !!
Man makes these borders again, where nature has them already..
Yet the sky , clouds, and the cool breeze travel above them so lovely...without any borders....
Excellent in concept, and well presented. The comparision you tried to make in here is very good. Beautifull Sikkim...
Thank you for this share..
All the best.

Hi Shaeri
You have captured some wonderful colours in this landscape. I like the man made vs nature type shots and when you think about it the wall pales incomparison to the Himalayas.
Nicely done.

The depth of field and the perspective is outstanding. I really like the way you handled the sky, so clear with absolute control on the light and shades beecause on the topleft the mountains are too dark. How could the wall(the man made) be so shinning? Where was the location of the Sun?
Can you please tell me for my own knowledge sake?

Rajeev

Hey Shaeri,
Very good capture of the roadside view to Yumesamdong and Zero point. You didn't mentioned the red color of the rocks here. I was amazed by them very much. They were there as if painted with Sindur. This is one of the shot I wanted to capture in my last trip only because of these red colored rocks. You have here a very good POV to capture sun rays on mountain walls along with the shadow of clouds on upper parts.I liked the way of light flow from bright to darker. The sky has been managed wonderfully.

Hi Shaeri,
The aligned wall of mountains is just awesome.... wonderfully captured. It formed a very pleasant converging line to lead the viewer's focus towards the horizon. The man-made wall somehow framed the main scene. Well composed with good image quality and color saturation. Well done! tfs

Namaste Shaeri. I love the rich colours. Am I wrong or are the rocks covered in red lichen? Imposing mountain wall that meets the sky (at least the clouds.) Lovely POV shaeri. Well done. Regards. Klaudio.

Hi, Shaeri,
these scenes from India are just incredible. You do the most awesome skies. The light and color are superb and I love those clouds. Great depth to this shot, too, looking back through that mountain range. Great shot!! Thanks and warmest regards,

nice one. but i feel that this shot would have been better from a upper level. the road along the wall would have made a much better foreground.

Hi Shaeri,
Great shot. What really stands out herer are the rugged cliffs jutting into the clouds. If I am not wrong there is a gloomy ambiance in the shot, which is typical of a mountain landscape.
Loved the shot!!!

Hi Shaeri,
The man made wall looks somehow very minute and unable to stop anything that would fall from the natural wall! Nice color tones, dramatic sky and clouds on the peaks, good framing, could even push the sharpness a bit more, but OK like that as well!

Hi Shaeri
Interesting analogy of walls.
I like the natural walls of mountains with such heavy clouds above and blue sky.
The steep slope is just fantastic. I tend not to pay much attention to the man-made wall if you have not highlighted it.
Good work. TFS

Hi, Shaeri. Of the two walls, the natural one is definitely the more impressive. The diagonal line of the ridge takes us to the background where the sky is blue and a small summit appears. I think you managed the light quite well in rather difficult conditions. Maybe a human element would have given the scale of the picture.

Hi Shaeri
I got as far as Darj, but didn't make it to Sikkim, due to winter snows, so tfs. I like the repetiton & zigzagging, of the dark, craggy peaks. Good sharpness & colour, & well titled. Tfs!

Hello Shaeri
Good choice of frame & a good title. The difference in size between the two walls is stark indeed. Love the craggy mountains with their crests hidden in the fog. You've also captured the blue sky well in the frame. Good work!

Hi Shaeri!
Amazing, wild and "arid" landscape, the two walls, the artificial and the natural combine very well with each other and the low clouds enhance the atmosphere. Great light managment, beautiful warm colours! Congratulations!

Shaeri,
a very intersting composition with the two walls. One man made and the other one natural. I guess that the man made one doesn't have anything to do with the border between India and China, does it? Seems to be to small to hold off any country of the size of India or China; the mountains seem more like it. I like the colors a lot, specially the red rocks. Is that that color due to a fungus?

Hi Shaeri,
Splendid very impressive mountainous landscape. This sky contributes to create a particular environment. We feel very small in front of such natural monuments. I am allowed a WS to bring a little more clearness, I hope that you will like.

Hi Shaeri,
Excellent photo, yes a slight sharpen would help here, but overall the photo is magnificent and depicts a beautiful landscape. You are very fortunate to have visited such a place! I like the combination of cloud and blue sky and also the lower ground composition with the wall and piles of rocks. The range of colours on this mountain slope, predominantly green and red, looks terrific. Well done, have a pleasant week!
