Photographer's Note

The car is starting on it's way up again. The car also makes it to the top, after two tries to get going. Every thing is battered looking here, except the drivers. They amaze me. It costs me about 25 cent at most, to see this act. Yet many Indians cannot afford it. The hill side is filed with peole sitting on window ledges trying to get a glimpse of the wild and crazy, fearless drivers. (Today the car drove along the top, with the rider sitting on the window outside, BUT my batteries died just then). All I can say, is this is the best I can get so far to show it starting. The entire wooden structure shakes like crazy, and the noise alone could blast you off the edge. I love it! This festival is over 1100 years old. I would like to find out how they celebrated long ago!
