Hello Alekhya,
This doesn't quite remind me of Calcutta, but it's a very nice photo of the birds flying over the yellow and gren fields. There is a great clarity and fine colours which make it very enjoyable to watch. I wish you too a happy 2014.

Fabulous composition with the white egrets flying in your frame just at the right time. The contrast between the yellow mustard flowers and the green fields is so magnificent. Everything looks to be perfectly placed to contribute to this fantastic scenery. Great great photo to start the New Year. Hope you continue with the same gusto.

Hi Alekjya,
Your image is bursting with life and color, a beautiful scene on the first day of the year. I can almost smell the flowers and feel the wind as I look at this scene. This looks like a wonderful place, and like Gert, I would never imagine this to be Kolkata, when I think of that great city, I think of urban spaces and so many people. This must be a great place to escape to.

spero che questo volo di ucceli sia di buon augurio per l'anno che è appena entrato, un 2014 che si spera migliore dell'anno appena finito, come di dice all'inizio di ogni anno che nasce.
Se non altro la visione di un simile paesaggio fa sperare in una protezione della natura che ci permetta di ammirare ancora tra qualche anno questo splendido incontro di flora e di fauna.

That's an uplifting landscape to view, that sea of yellow rape and green field seem filled with brilliant light punctuated and bordered by trees and those winged friends have added so much to this too. This is just so beautiful - and long may such wondrous sight continue to be photographed and painted. A very pleasing image, Congrats.

A lovely summer picture, here in Belgium the winter now with a lot rain and much wind.
Sharpness and clarity are perfect.
Also a lovely panoramic view about these area.

I was about to say, "what a beautiful spring day" when I looked at the Photo Information section and found out that it was taken late December. So, is this a typical December day in Calcutta? I love the different layers of colors and the birds are an added bonus.
