this expression of happiness insists me to shoot this photograph in a natural afternoon light...she was happy...she was loughing...her cascade of hair...attracts me a lot in that light...

Hello Swagata,
this is an attractive and unusual portrait. I say unusual in that in the thumbnail it looks like she is wearing a eye patch or half face mask. Of course I can see now that it is her hair that is covering her eye. I think this effect is unusual but strangely attractive. I like the composition and think it creative. However, it appears that not everyone shares my view as I will be the first to give points.Don't understand why no one else has reponded positively to this image, except to say that perhaps people will go for the more obvious and easy pics to critque.

Beautiful portrait..!! i like the fact that broadly the frames has been divided into two parts..light and shadow and the fact that the face falls in the shadow part and her hair in the light part is adding that extra special thing..!! very good exposure control for this shot also a very good impromptu composition..!!
