The photograph is of the old man(once poacher) from the village Mangalajodi grazing buffalos on the chilika bank.The earnings are now from cattle and integrating farming as they have left poaching migratory birds.

I was on the (local made)boat with three of my friends to mangalajodi, the village which welcomes millions of migratory birds each and every year, but also holds the society "Mahabir Pakshi surakshya samiti" which is formed to give protection to these birds.The members of this society are once pochers now turned protectors.

Thanks to the conservationist Mr.N.K.Bhujbal of WildOrissa(NGO) who has been guiding these pochers since eleven years and now atleast these birds are safe because of him.
