Photographer's Note
The most famous and important man in recent history born in Georgia, is undoubtedly Iosif Stalin, Russian politician and protagonist of the history of the early part of the twentieth century. The city where he was born retains much of his story. Still you can see the house where he was born, there is a large museum, but also the carriage of his private train with which he moved, being very intimidated by the air flight. The main photo shows the carriage from the outside. In WS you can see the Soviet logo on the carriage, the bathroom and the meeting room in the train.

Hello Luciano,
Alright, which one of them is Stalin? Oh, I see, they are going in to join Stalin. Nice view of this historic railroad car. I like the photo with the Soviet logo, too.

Bonjour, cher Luciano,

Hello Luciano,
Unbelievable that such a killer is still considered as a hero by some people in Georgia. I remember the guide in the museum who spoke fervently about Stalin's life but mentioned no word of all his crimes. Fortunately, young Georgians thought very differently about this man.
I've also entered this wagon. Not a very luxurious life living in it, I think.
Yet a place in everyone's program during a visit to Georgia.
Good inclusion of both visitors.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Luciano,
Nice view of this old train wagon, an important element from the past. Well, it's interesting to see and learn about any dictator's life to be aware of the new ones. Actually, I guess Stalin is the number one criminal in history...

Hello Luciano,
I was here too and wondered about the personality cult of Stalin still so strong in Georgia. It's a very schizophrenic situation. In Gori there was all praise for the hero and nothing about the crimes of the Soviet Union and its ruling party. In Tbilisi there is a museum about the crimes committed in Georgia by the Soviet Union and its ruling party but nothing saying that the worst criminal of them all was the Georgian hero ;-).
It's a nice photo and the two persons provide the necessary human touch.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Luciano,
Strange to think a 'strongman' like Stalin had a fear of flying. The carriage, whose colours are echoed by the surrounding greenery, is well placed in the frame. Fine capture with very good lights and colours and excellent sharpness.

Ciao Caro Luciano,
I was intrigued to know about this train and the location. Stalin was a complicated man and driven by his own philosophies. He really had a lot a lot to answer for regarding the neglect of large parts of the country and brutal imprisonments. Enough said!
But it must have been very interesting to explore where he was born and elements of his daily life. You have shown us a very well angled view of his train carriage and added human interest with the figures boarding.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Luciano,

Dommage.

Buona sera Luciano,
I certainly agree to the first sentence in your note, and for sure Georgians are proud to keep his memory alive.
The green famous wagon, view to its length, and the WS's well shown.

Hi Luciano
ah yes, Mr Stalin - what a nice man haha...not!
cool subject material, otherwise it would just be another train, but this one is quite special. there's something quite attractive about the color or the stain on it, i like its look. and I like your choice of compo on the side angle. sweet. cheers for the WS photos too

Hello Luciano,
Great photo of this train, with such an interesting role in modern history. The carriage fits very well into this composition and creates a nicely diagonal in the middle of the photo. The two people are well included too.

It is a sad monument, in the picture we can see that this wagon was not so luxurious. If it was luxury how poor were ordinary people?
A very interesting post

Hello Luciano,
Looks like this green rail carriage isn't going anywhere in the near future. I like the tapering perspective from left to right. The people add scale. Good sharpness too. Tfs!

Interesting picture and corresponding note. It is remarkable that this great dictator still has some honour in his birth-region. But of course, looking at the history is always interesting.

Oi, Luciano!
Boas cores, luz e nitidez.
Bela foto!

Hi, Luciano.
Sensational both this image and WS. which are an exponent that documents a part of the history of this character, the train wagon is very well located in the shadow of those large trees.
A pretty colorful, powering image.
Magnificent management of brightness and sharpness, to enjoy with the details.
Well seen and fulfilled. I like it.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hi Luciano

Ciao Luciano,
that is kind of funny to realize that such a strong personality was afraid of flying.
The photo of this train seems so simple at first but of course the story behind it gives it so much interest. Great reportage and such an original subject.
Very well done,
