Photographer's Note

Taken on "Hua Shan", one of China's "Wu Yue" or Five Taoist Sacred Mountains. Couples climbing the five peaks of this mountain attach padlocks to the rails and then throw the key over the side to symbolise their eternal love. The red ribbons are a similar idea.

The closest city to Huashan is Xi'an. A couple hours bus ride and you reach Huayin City, from where you begin your climb. Or you can take a taxi round to the cable car, but that is the boring way of doing things!
