Photographer's Note
This is another view of Tiannanmen square. Especially when the weather is so smoggy, the red colours really shine through.
TEXT FROM Corjan3, THANKS VERY MUCH, I HAD IT ALL WRONG:
"This is the Mausoleum of Mao Zhedong where his body lies in state and with the civil war memorial in the foreground. The Great Hall of the People is to the right and just across the road from here. On the opposite side is the military museum and behind, of course, is the Forbidden City."
Red colour and contrast are partially increased in the image. Have fun.

Hi Franz,
That's a clever idea. I like it, however I would enjoy the photo completely, if you did something like the border to it, especially at the bottom of the photo.
Look at the bottom of the photo. The TE's buttons (Add to Favorites, Add to Theme, etc) look like a part of the photo and in this way destroy the reception.
Despite of above it's still worth 2 green monkeys.

Mirek

Hello Franz,
I like this image a lot. Makes me think - I will also upload one from this position some time. Just a correction: This is the Mausoleum of Mao Zhedong where his body lies in state and with the civil war memorial in the foreground. The Great Hall of the People is to the right and just across the road from here. On the opposite side is the military museum and behind you, of course, is the Forbidden City. Thank you and best wishes.

Hello Franz,
This is a rather different pict ure from the Tiananmen. You have chosen an original POV and it works very well. There is a clearly marked red triangle with the flag on top. The smog gives the place an eerie atmosphere. I was here one rainy morning to stand in line to get inside the mausoleum. Mao's body might as well have been a wax doll for all that I know.
Kind regards,
Gert
