Photographer's Note

For me, the most interesting of Feng Huang old town is clothes hand washing. It may be a traditional habit of the local; washing the clothes on the river bank with a wooden handle, they regularly tapped for hours then brought all the stuff back home, put in the washing-machine just for drying.

Hello Hoang - This is the first time I've really looked at your portfolio and its really very good. This is a lovely image, I like your use of DOF and the shutterspeed is perfect to catch the water droplets. The composition is well balanced. An interesting and attractive post. Have a good day. Impressive composition with its sharp, high interest foreground activity and vibrant colours and in the distance the amazing beehive of human habitation softened by what looks like evaporation and your choice of DOF. Hello Hoang.
Excellent daily life photo, very well composed and making very good use of the shallow DOF you will get with f5.6 and a long lens. The sharpness of the figure and arc of water combined with that slight blur of the wooden bat, really conveys a feeling of movement and energy. Superb photo.

Good low POV concentrated on the washing process, with the blurred houses in the background. I like the water pourring out of the wet cloth!

the others before me said it already - I don't know what else I could add :)
the blue caught my eye immediately, but it's actually the arc created by the water that I keep returning to, as well as the red lanterns hanging from the houses (at least they look like lanterns to me...).

Hi Hoang,
You bring us a great and interesting daily life scene with action. The blue jumps out drawing our eye to your focal point which is the person at work, and that water leaping out is a wonderful detail. I like that although the background is out of focus we are still able to see what the houses with their lanterns look like on the side of the river.

for me such photos showing daily life in places I have never been are very interesting, and here the technical qualities - I like a lot the splash of the water - and composition with the row of buildings in the background add to the appeal of the image. nicely done.
