Photographer's Note
Siem Reap is a fun place.
Weather is fine, maybe too hot to some, but a short and intense afternoon or night rain often comes to cool the air. Most people there are nice and smily. You've got Angkor temples very close for those avid of history (and of crowds!!). You can see beautiful dancers performing Apsara (or Khmer) dances. You can enjoy any kind of food: from the most exotic food for the most daring to the very boring burgers and fries. You can enjoy a nice cold beer while your wife is being given a massage. If it's your thing, you can get drunk with the numerous backpackers partying all night in the various bars in town.
Speaking of partying and drinking, here is the ice that will be used to make the drinks that night being delivered by 3 smily workers in the street of Siem Reap.

I know I've been off TE for a long while now...but this friday I'm celebrating my 4th year on the site and since today's post is only my 98th, I'll post 3 days in a row to at least reach 100 in 4 years. I post at such a lamentable rate.
have a good day!
Marc

Marc,
I really liked Siem Reap too, especially the cheap Beer. I think I remember this spot, but it all looks similar. Nice capture of the everyday life in Siem Reap.
Cheers,
Phil

Resalut Marc,

3 in a row? haha, I want to see that, Marc :) I wonder what they are laughing for. Happy with work and their lives? Some joke you told them? :) Problably just a reaction to your camera. Those big blocks of ice are fascinating. Not a bad work for such a hot weather, I guess. Excellent framing. Love the triangle formed around the ice, the detail of this hand (not so close as 'my hand' though :) and the detail of the hook against the ice. Their good mood is a plus although I wonder how natural that is... ;-)
RE: yes, I'm still loving Spain, more and more as the time goes by...
BTW - Me and my wife were the only tourists in that bus and they were not selling that food to us...
Have a great day,

Re,
Yves.

Salut Marc:
Franchement superbe xette scene.

Hi Marc,
Right on the action, the depth allows this to breath, and find the scene with some space still. Great light and I see their expressions (are they smiling? perhaps sensing the photographers presence)
Best Wishes

Hi Marc,
I missed this one when you posted it, but I do really like it.
The iceman cometh...
That brings back memories. Great central position of the iceman, good colours with lots of great dark tones. The coca-cola adds a touch of globalism.
Stay fine.
Benny
