Photographer's Note
This was taken near Sirajgonj. It was the season to process the paddy fields. This farmer and his family (background) were cutting this years crop and separating the grains.
After seeing so many nice portrait pictures of people from India I thought I'd give it a go myself. What do you think?
RP: Added thick black border.

I think this works quite well. I like that although it is a tight headshot, there are people in the background to make it less generic. My only thought is that the lighting was slightly against you. I believe a reflector or fill flash would have been the answer in these conditions. Even better of course would be to have taken this closer to sunrise/sunset.

This is a nice portrait. Not only by the good framing of the man, but especially because we can see the action in the background which fits the subject into context and add a “story” to the image. The group of women is really great.
Still, the use of a fill flash would have been nice to bring some light into the man face. The noon sun not only weakens the colors but also create dark shades which “kill” the volumes. Through Post-Processing you can always try to correct this partially.
Made a WS. Hope you'll like it! :-)

Hi Arif,
nice shot and composition. I like the background with those people working telling the story of this man himself. His expression is fine too even if light was a bit difficult.
A smile
