~ old meets new ~, a photo from Tunis, North

Photographer's Note

This shot was taken in Tunis city centre at Avenue Habib Bourguiba. The building I was focusing on was the Cathedral of St.Vincent de Paul built in 1893 in a mixture of styles; including Moorish, Gothic and Neo-Byzantine architectural traditions. This clearly signifies the historical and contemporary.

Deliberately left it as shot to enhance the 'converging' effect

Setting: 10 mm, 1/100 sec, F22, ISO Raw 200, 0815 hrs & Polarised

An excellent photo of the juxtaposition of the modern buildings and the much more classic style of the cathedral, whose many details look beautiful. The blue sky is a great backdrop and the palm trees are also well included, standing out nicely from the sky too.
