Photographer's Note
I state that the photograph was taken from the bus, I apologize for the quality. During the journey to Tunis, it was a great surprise to find thousands of flamingos in the brackish areas surrounding the port area. Undoubtedly a paradise in danger due to the structures that were built nearby, and of course pollution. There even appears to be a project to drain the area to make new neighborhoods. We hope that the new president, very ecologist from what I heard from my Tunisian clients, will do something positive.

A tough scene and a testimony to the increased human need to abuse this Earth. For a bus window photo not bad - they are usually not photo clean and often have reflections. I hope the wonderful birds can adapt.
Great Message

Hello Luciano,
great place that you have found here and a fine overview you made. Coastal areas are so important for nature and mostly so vulnerable.
Thanks and regards,
Gerrit

Hello Luciano,
There is nothing wrong with the quality, it can't be seen that the photo was taken from a bus. The water in the foreground is wonderfully dotted by all those flamingos and the ones closest to us are also nicely reflected in the calm water.

Hi Luciano
I've been to 3 flamingo areas and all seem to be endangered but they always look beautiful and are great for photos.
Good one of this flock.

Bonjour, cher ami luciano,
Une image de grande beauté avec ces oiseaux aux pattes fragiles plongeant leur long cou à la recherche de nourriture.
L'ensemble est sublimement mis en image.

Hello Luciano,
It's a fantastic view from the bus window, and considering the circumstances it's a photo of good quality. It's usually nature that is the loser when more or less shortsighted human needs become too strong strong. Many paradises like this will probably disappear - and many already did.

Gert

Bonsoir Luciano,
It should be made a national park to protect the flamingoes. There is more money in tourism than draining swamps that are swampy for a reason, namely the water table is above ground. Tunisia has lots of desert land it could reclaim instead. Tfs!

Luciano, i remember that huge lagoon with brackish water located in Tunis outskirts along the road to Sidi Bou Said. That fragile ecosystem must be protected from the real estate projects. It forms a habitat for the flamingos as well as many other species. Fine colors, good image quality, interesting photo note, regards.

The quality is OK, Luciano, no complains...
The sight is awesome and each Flamingo beautifully shown in pink. Here in Israel, we have flamingos only in a zoo.
Hope those beautiful birds will be saved from environmental hazards.

a pity the urban chaos is menacing this. I hope the are will be preserved as I saw in a former port area in buenos aires that was transformed in a natural park. very nice view despite limitations you had.

Ciao Luciano
I would never guess this was taken from a moving bus. Now you mentioned it - it may have a little bit of a blue cast but it's normal in sunny weather. The composition is great and each flamingo has a matching reflection which enhances the image.
I also hope this paradise will not be destroyed by construction work and pollution.
Best wishes

Very nice photo for having been taken from a moving bus. 👍🏻👍🏻 It would be a disaster if they drained the water - can't they see the beauty? 😡

Hi Luciano
yes, an unexpected find! Even if it were taken from a moving bus, but honestly we can't tell. The shallow water is very calm, acting almost like glass. great to have the flamingos spread out everywhere including deep in the frame too. great shot, I would never have expected this scene from Tunisia!
cheers

Ciao Luciano,
what a lovely sight! I had a chance to see some flamingos in Chile, but there were not too many and they were very shy. I missed them in Cyprus.
It is always so exciting to see them in their natural environment.
I would never guess it was taken from the bus, the sharpness is amazing!
Great work!!

Hello, Luciano!
It's really a beautiful view from the bus, and with quite a good quality for the conditions in a situation like that! The flamingos all over the scene create a beautiful pattern and makes the composition very attractive, and the reflections are beautiful details too! Wonderful job!

ciao Caro Luciano,
I hope you are right about the new president.
There is so much we need to do, to right the wrongs that we have done to the natural world!
I have been watching the new series by David Attenbrough and am near to tears when I witness the deaths that are occurring to animals because of our greed for land and for natural resources!
Education, education, education, is so necessary, to all nations, to understand what must be done to prevent our world from declining!
I'm sure you were concerned about the plight of the beautiful birds!
Your photograph doesn't look to have been taken from a bus! It looks fine!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Luciano,
Despite taken from the bus it is surprisingly sharp! The colours however are very dull, to say the least. Maybe it is because my soft spot for BW photos, but I think it would look excellent it a strong contrast BW elaboration.

Hello Luciano, sorry that I have got a little behind in reviewing your shots.
This is a fascinating picture with the flamingos spread randomly across the scene.
Those in the foreground are in a variety of poses, and some have reflections which adds to the charm of seeing so many flamingos here.
Kind regards, Jean.

Ciao Luciano,
It's lovely to see all these flamingos wading in the shallow water. We can even some some their reflections in the foreground. I do hope nature in Tunisia will continue to be preserved, and all animals can stay in their natural habitats for as long as possible.
