Mt. Washington Sunrise, a photo from Oregon, West

Photographer's Note

My first image taken at sunrise of Mt. Washington yesterday on my visit through the Oregon Central Cascades.
I took this with a Nikon D90, ISO 200, and used a polorizer with inverted blue and violet Graduated Filters to pop in more color than what I could collect due the intensity of light and the white snowpack.

This is a fabulous shot of Mt. Washington soaring (actually appearing to float) in the background. I had no idea that it was so steep.

Marvelous image of the mountain. Very good use of light and color management. The dark blue sky gives special effect to the scene.

What a gorgeous view of the Mt Washington ! I like a lot the succeding layers : lightened pine trees , forest , mist , snow , and above all , the impressive summit . Fine framing with the dark branches .

Rising from the shadow the it appears to be almost magical. The mountain is well framed by the branches. Well done.
