Another side of the sunset evening view where you see a person taking a walk. If I can travel with my camera, everytime I return to my hometown I must visit this place at the Rajang Riverfront for jogging and just walking around, waiting for sunset and evening breeze. Because of the 800m width of the river, sufficient open space is provided on the river for viewing the clouds. Although this side of Igan River has very little boat traffic for photography subject, it is still a good spot to spend the 'happy hour'.

Those sunsets in Malaysia are really famous which you show us here. I always see amazing colours in the sky, must be a real paradise for sunset shooters. You packed it all inside a good composed image with some trees and that nice round terrace to enjoy these sunsets....nice work.

Hi Bill,

The presence of the person has an effect of scale. The sunset is giving nice colors to the sky and reflections on the water which are assets to the composition. The subject is well frame. The point of view is giving depth to the picture. Have a nice day.

Firstly, congrats on your 1 year anniversary here.

A great photo, you made me look up Sarawak and Sibu and Kuching and other places from your photos countless times, so you can say you`ve taught me something too, and not just about photography. Anyway, beautifully composed, with the well defined and textured "Asian gazebo", nicely saturated in the background, with the subtle hints of industry (?).

Regarding to your comment about "film vs digital" - absolutely agreed, I only use film for fun, I couldnt stand without digital. So I don`t get tired with scanning or spend too much money on film, cause I only shoot and scan twice a year.

the colours are great, I've come to associate Malaysia with great sky and fascinating sunrises/sunsets. the dark silhouettes in the foreground work really well to add content to the scene and create a nice contrast with the fiery sky. excellent photo, my compliments. and keep posting for many years to come :)

This image was on your intro page (on the random selection) and I clicked on it as it almost shouted at me to do so. It was fortuitous as I see it is your anniversary post so I can congratulate you on reaching this major milestone in your TE career. Congratulations!
The colours are gorgeous and you composed the image well with the perfect placement of the silhouettes. The little "pagoda" is off-centred with trees on each side balancing the composition.
