History: Rua Santo Antonio, formerly known as the Street of the Tilted Houses. This site was the heart and origin of the historic city São João del Rey, and here passed the famous Royal Road, where it was driven all the gold extracted from Minas Gerais towards the ports and then to Portugal.

I love colonial architecture (spanish and portuguese) , so I love this little paved street with the lines of beautiful tiled roofed houses and their nice windows .

Hello Ricardo,
This is a very charming street. I like your POV, and the way two of the houses form the sides of the frame. I like the cobblestones, and the colors. It's great that one person is walking down the street. He adds life to the scene.

Beautiful photo of a beautiful place... Great presentaion of this street though I must confess I don't recall houses were this clean, freshly painted, 'washed-up' when I visited... Definte improvement... Very colorful...
