Photographer's Note

Sunset, the local marina restaurant is on fire, a bush plane takes off from the St-Maurice River. This could have been a forest fire and the effect would have been the same. There was in excess of 140 simultaenous forest fires in the province of Quebec in July this year.

Increased brightness & contrast, applied unsharp edge, straighten the horizon and cropped, that's all. The smoke cloud showed better that way. The world was orange.

Note: the black square that seems to come off the left wing is a large marker on the water used by sailboats for racing.

Taken at 200 mm equivalent, hand held.

See workshop of same situation taken a few seconds before at 35-40 mm equivalent. Also original unretouched photo.
