Maldives Sunset (again), a photo from Baa, North

The final upload of a particularly spectacular sunset in the Maldives. I like the interesting shapes of the clouds sillhouetted on the horizon.

Taken on the island resort of Veligandu during our honeymoon in April 2003, the transition between the wet season and dry season meant very changeable weather and periods of heavy cloud, which made for the most amazing sunsets

Scanned from a poor quality original photo, with quite a bit of post processing (although the colours etc are pretty much as seen - pp was jst to clean up the image etc).

Note - The descibed state of "Baa" is incorrect - but nothing in the prescribed choices matched where the picture was taken (Veligandu Island, Rashdu Attol, North Ari Attoll, Maldives)

Spectacular is surely the right word to describe this sunset! Fire in the sky!

What a unique moment you’ve captured... Even if it’s a scan from a poor quality photo, great level of details seem intact, at least at this low resolution.

This image is very impactful, at thumbnail size as full frame. Impressive!

This is one of the best shots of the sunset I've ever seen. The colours in the back are amazing and look almost unrealistic, but the water in the front is still very realistic with it's textures. I like that a lot.

Les couleurs sont tellement opposées que la vignette attire l'attention.
