Photographer's Note
Third and last contribution of my little series about Rodder Maar, this time omitting the small lake and concentrating on its surroundings as seen directly against the brilliant spring sun.
Olbrück Castle on top of a phonolite hill of 460 m lies mostly in ruins, except for its 34 m main tower which is often called a keep, but was in fact a residential tower with thick walls. From its platform, you can enjoy a wide overlook of the Eifel reaching as far as Cologne Cathedral.

Lovely refreshing shades of green with good colour accuracy. Sharp and clear. Makes me feel good.

Hello Sven, Nice view of the spring in Eifel. Lovely fresh green. Charming composition. The same keep of Olbrück Castle as on another picture.
I was in Maria Laach (40 years ago), that is not far from there. Effelsberg is also interesting.
Stay safe

Salut Sven,
A nice green tone dominant for your view, well framed and balanced with all these trees, good detail with the view of this perched tower in the Bg, tfs.

Hello Sven,
A beautiful trail through the green vegetation where easily I can see four different trees types. Even as fog/mist prevailed, I can see that the place offers a nice trail to stroll through.
Have a nice weekend,
Ike
