A new bike trip faraway of people for COVID 19
But light rain and fog formation prevent me from getting a nice connection with the heavenly colours.
I was able to take this photo with rain clothing and camera protection
This photo was taken in the afternoon, many people do not want to stay at home anymore, but the government is allowed to cycle or walk.
But keep enough distance, I saw that most people respect this, the death toll is rising spectacularly in Belgium from COVID-19. (>7200)
Origin, potato field the farmers are artists with them big engines
The potato (Solanum tuberosum) belongs to the Solanum family (Solanaceae) and originates from the mountains of South America, where it has been an important food source for thousands of years. Around 1570 the potato was brought ashore in Spain. At first the potato was only grown as an ornamental crop and medicinal herb. Not until the 18th century also for consumption.
The potato plant is a biennial crop but is grown as an annual. The leaves, which are slightly hairy and resemble tomato leaves, are sensitive to frost. Potatoes form underground stems. At the end of such an underground stem (a stolon), the tuber, the potato, is formed. Nutritional reserves of the potato plant are stored therein. Depending on the species, the skin varies from smooth to rough and can have all kinds of colour tones. Each tuber has several buds, the so-called 'eyes', from which a new plant with tubers develops in the following year.
I hope you like it

Hallo John,
Mooie titel voor deze foto!
Prachtig grafisch effect in het veld.
Mooi contrast tussen het mistig zicht in de verte en het felle groen van de bomen en het gras uiterst rechts.
Vele groeten, Paul

Hello John,
The environment is familiar but the image is quite unusual. No warm, well saturated colours on this gloomy and rainy day, but you used the rain and the lack of a visible sky in a smart and attractive way. The haze and the deliberate slight overexposure has made the photo graphically interesting, largely also thanks to the elegant pattern of the recently plowed field. The tree in the foreground is a very fine detail, and it contrasts well against the light yellow/green trees behind it. The composition benefits greatly from the simplicity.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello John,
A fine note - but how sad and depressing that your death toll from Covid-19 is rising so rapidly. But all we can do is to try to stay safe, stay at home and only venture out for essentials or exercise and keep well apart. And I'm so glad that, despite the wet weather yesterday, you still went out for your bike ride!
We can clearly see the thick mist in your photograph. It was quite dull too (as I can tell from your exif data) and the rain has added a shine to the lines of the ploughed furrows, so much so that I can almost feel the wet soft mud! And the brown earth contrasts so vividly with the green grass and trees.
Fabulous sweeping patterns which the plough has made too!
Wonderful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi John.
This scene is a triple masterwork. First of all, the natural creation, then the farmer's ability to produce such wonderful curvy lines out of the soil, lastly, your creative observation and execution of this artistic landscape. Thank you for sharing, have a nice evening!!!

Hallo John,
De diepe groeven in de lege veld zijn heel mooi en slingeren zich mooi door de foto, het werk van de boer heeft zeker artistieke waarde hier. De felgroene kleuren van de lentebomen komen mooi naar voren door de motregen.

Hi John,
I like the effect of the fog on the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the artwork done by the farmer. The light is making the earth tone colours to come out. Have a nice day.

Hi John,
Bien vu ce cadrage avec ces sillons et les troncs alignés, jolie lumière bien gérée, bien composé avec ce tronc en avant-plan pour donner un bon effet de profondeur à l'image.

Hello John,
The weather has changed but what a fine opportunity it has presented for a very interesting, atmospheric photograph!
You were very alert to see this!
I really like how you have used the richly, textured tree as a starting point.
The deep furrows are so well defined that they look 3D and they lead smoothly from the sharp, distinct features, to the mysteriously, misty background.
Keep safe,
Bev :-)

Hi John
A beautifully composed and captured photograph. The point of view allows you to capture the wonderful sculptured farmland smoothly receding into the fog stretching the depth immensely. The tree trunk on the foreground balances the compo, but amazing what you can discover there, well recorded to utmost definitely packs a punch, Congrats
Best regards

Hallo John, the furrows created by the tractor in the soil modify the landscape. The potato field is surrounded by lines of tall trees and a canal. It was foggy day. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

hello John, Very interesting original composition with these fries :). Lovely misty atmosphere. it is good that it rains. In Poland, there hasn't been any rain for a long time and it means drought. Good that you protected your camera. My camera got wet in Bali and till the end of the journey, I couldn't use it. The death toll is very high in Belgium.
stay safe

Hello John,
The furrows curves wonderfully shown and look to diminish towards the fog on the background.
The canal and green vegetation on right side are in fine contrast.

Dag John,
Goed weekend, Rob

Hi John,
fantastic pattern, very well spotted from an optimal point of view.
The presence of the fog decorates the scene interestingly having various levels of clarity and saturation.
Great idea to focus on the potatos.
Very eye catching geometry,

Hello John, a fabulous scene, with a very apt title.
The misty day gives the picture an air of mystery.
The water shows some reflected trees which all adds to your composition. I like the tree with its textured bark in the immediate foreground.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi John.
Wonderful composition, which is like a beautiful landscape painting, ideal those grooves making such perfect curves, precious the degradation of the trees due to the effect of fog.
Sharpness, lighting, color, and the magnificent composition; they are all perfectly made factors, in this beautiful image.
Well done. I like very much.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.
