Photographer's Note

The Cachoeira Bonita (Beautiful Waterfall) is located in José Pedro River, at an altitude of 1.750m, is near of the tronqueira camp and about 5km of Caparaó National Park entrance. This river is the dividing line between the states of Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo. Access is provided primarily by road and then trail by that part of being viable throughout the year.

The attraction consists of waterfall with about 80m of fall, divided into two main steps. To reach it, one must traverse a track about 500m long, quite wide at the beginning (about 1.5 m to 2.0 m). Trail is easily traversed with cement staircase and handrail in place of larger gap in their final portion, including allowing access to the elderly. Halfway down the trail there is a natural lookout, where he built a wooden platform and I shot this image. The surroundings of the waterfall is formed by vegetation of stony fields with ferns and shrubs of lesser slope. Along the trail, the vegetation consists of secondary forest.
