Pintailed Whydah, a photo from Gauteng, East

Photographer's Note

The male is asking for attention from the female on the branch. I really like the long tail in this birds.

I do not really know much more about them. it is Pintailed Whydah and I took the shot in Pilanesberg Nature Reserve two hours northwest of Pretoria. The reserve is much smaller than Kryger Park but have still almost the same species as Kryger Park. The male is longtailed and the hen is the small one on the branch. :)
