Photographer's Note

They say you should always use a tripod when you are trying to create a HDR image. Didnít carry one as the trip to Carlton Center was just accidental (thank God I was atleast carrying the camera). The elevator takes you from -1 to 50th floor in just 10 seconds and your ears sort of shut down momentarily because of the pressure. The view of Johannesburg (Jozi as lovingly called by the locals)is breathtaking and you get a 360 degree of unadulterated view. Couldnít resist the idea of getting a HDR out of this and thus shot three exposures handheld with camera set to auto exposure bracketing at -2, 0 and +2. Didnít come out the way it should have been as there were shakes which had to be compensated. Still gives a surreal view of this wonderful city, CBD area of JoZi.

Well, a definitely must visit if you are already in Joburg or plan to in near future. The viewing platform closes down at 7pm and so if you are planning to get the evening sky or the night lights, I sure would advise you to come down in winter when the days are shorter then what it is now. So you might get the evening /night shots much before it closes. And please carry a tripod :-)
