Photographer's Note
A simple shot taken in a town a few hours outside of Jos, Nigeria. I couldn't resist.
A fascinating country, to say the least, with some really interesting scenes and people. A definite must for anyone wishing to see a real glimpse of chaotic and cluttered West Africa...

hello John,
I like this simple yet satisfying composition. It has a number of pleasing elements, the pose of the boy, the old door, the lovely orange of the wall and the additional interest of the graffiti.
regards,
Bev

Hi John,
I always wanted to see picture from Jos, as this is also the name of a dear friend of mine and we often talked of travelling there together some day. And I really like this 'simple shot' too! Great wall, great model, great posture. Thanks for sharing.

Hi John,
simple as it may be, I definitely like your shot. The colored wall; the boy framed by the door. Very effective and eye-catching.

Hey,
Colorful walls seem to be popular in Nigeria, and it certainly works great for photography. The man sits in the shot well. Nicely done!

It's certainly a classic type of shot, John, but it's a great spot for it and it's really well executed. The writing on the wall adds some feeling of the entropy in life, and the man seems dazed by his existence. Nice off-center framing (but that part is easy.) It has a very African feel, including the colors. Regards, Ken.
