This is good. I like the compo and the position of the baby in the frame. But the right side of the frame is quite disturbing...see that other person right along the right hand edge? You need to crop him/her out. In the background the colors are muted and this makes your foreground subject stand out even more, but due to the unnecessary splash of color on the right the image is thus way too busy and takes away interest from the subject (the sleeping baby). Anyway, the idea is good...you just need to tweak it a bit more to get it right. Cheers.

This shot is just a riot of colors, that part is very appealing. To me though, it is a little overly contrasty and it looks to me as though you have run it through Neat Image with slighty too heavy settings. The person on the right is slightly distracting, but not a big issue for me.

Not only an interesting image but interesting discussions and workshops.
My personal opinion is that the best option would be not to have the person on the right in the foreground, but at the same time have a bit more breathing room so the context is still there. IMO croping it makes things a tiny bit too tight, just wish there was a few more inches available to see after the person is cropped away.

IMO contrast is top notch, so are the colours, very alive in the foreground and muted in the background. BTW Neat Image is a piece of software that takes a neat image and ruins it by removing noise from it, I personally don't see a sign of it here.
Cropping the top of the image doesn't work for me, IMO image is much better when I can see the boy's face in the back, nice dof.

Nice view and splendid colors - I Understand your problem : you want to keep your idea (sleeping in the chaos) - I like the crops of Claude and Filip - I Think there is an other solution : you can select the mother and the baby and blur and darken the background -
I will try a WS this evening -

Wow! what an image! A perfect composition, with a mosaic of brilliant color interspersed with humanity. The color and the skin tones are unlike anything I have seen before, and so is the buttery texture of the bokeh. Perhaps it is the contax magic, perhaps the film and PP. But what an image!

Well I'm going to disagree with you 100% Krzysztof - I think your crop is spot on (well maybe a touch more of the right) - I really like it and I think it's the best of all the images here and if you just tell us it's a market in the title you tell us as much as is observable from the other picture. It really is a confused composition (for me) otherwise but I instantly made the right noises when I saw your PP version! I mean I REALLY like it - enough to argue for it! This is a great photo for all of us it seems as it's exciting some real debate about what people like and want to see from images - thanks for starting all of that off! You might be learning here but now the rest of us are too! I appreciate what you say about your vision though!

Hi Krzysztof, you did a great work here, doing the shot very close to her and with a very good DOF. The colours are very clear and with a great sharpness. It is truly a great moment. I prefer this version, with the mother and child at one side, and more people in the scene. The ws, with only them, it makes the image too vertically. I think the ws made by Claude, is based in your one.

I like this one the most, because you get to see the environment around her. I like your title i think it goes perfectly with the photo.

Normally we see the mother's carring the babys in front of her (near their chest), but in Africa and others regions is normal this kind of backpack... wonder the reason...

Nice colours, nice DOF!

It's always a pleasure to look at your pictures. Wonderful image quality as always. I would not change those colors... There’s so much beauty in the skin tones you capture, for instance.
I have struggled to figure out the crop problem you posed (the composition is actually very good), and thought to crop just a little at the bottom, where the green shoes are. It automatically seems to decrease the DOF and gives the impression of zooming in more on the woman. Have posted a WS.
