Another photo of a 35mm slide relating to my '72 3 month crossing of the Sahara Desert.

Here is a scene from the "mythical", and once glorious city of Tombouctou (Timbuctou). I was so excited to be here, to spend time with the local residents and to learn its history. If I recall correctly, I was here for 4 or 5 days. Getting there was a challenge, and its isolation is not a legend!

C'est une très belle image pleine de poésie. J'aime beaucoup les vieilles photos et je trouve que les lignes verticales (sur la pellicule ou rajoutée ?) ajoutent un charme indéniable à la photo.

Intersting and singular photo. I like, and call me atention of atmosphere represented int this old colour film exposure(mythical) moment. Nice and opportune photo.

Hello Marc,
This is a nice composition, and I recognize that special atmosphere of Tombouctou which I experienced 11 years later. Your slide has lost a lot of its quailities through the years that have passed, but I tried to freshen it up a bit in a workshop. I hope you will like it.

Wow!! Excellent composition! One of the few times i don't find lack of quality disturbing... It's like reading an old issue of national geographic! Congratulation indeed!
