Well, first of all - fantastic shot. The face is so masculine, so powerful, so...royal...
Great job.
But also the thing is, that the white part of the frame distracts from watchig a man. The black one would be enough.

Anyway, fantastic portrait.

Superbe portrait. Ton cadrage est parfait et j'aime ce fond qui a la couleur du sable.
Un beau relief avec cet éclairage et un jeu d'ombre très bien dosé.

J'avais déjà regardé ton site de voyages pour la Libye ou l'Algérie (j'aimerais tant connaître le désert) mais je n'ai malheureusement pas trouver de dates possibles pour moi cette année. C'est Patrick (gabrielpat) qui m'en avait parlé. L'année prochaine..peut-être!

Hello Chatelier,
This is an excellent portrait image showing good facial detail. I like the tight cropping which creates greater emphasis onto the eyes. The colours of his turban and clothing work nicely with the brown background. Well captured.

Ce portrait est superbe !
Bien sûr, le résultat de la Velvia devant une telle débauche de couleurs est magnifique. La profondeur de champ est très bien gérée et l'attitude du guide magnifiquement saisie.
Seul petit bémol, j'aurais un peu débouché le regard et les yeux pour mieux fixer l'attention.
Du très beua travail.

Portrait en gros plan, les yeux dans les yeux. Quand on se détache du regard, on constate une harmonie de couleurs chaudes (qui sont en accord avec le thème).

Chatelier, this is a remarkable shot. Your mustachioed guide is very intriguing: swathed in shadows with a rugged expression and an immeasurable depth in his eyes. His yellow apparel perfectly frames his profile. The neutral background does not distract from - but actually enhances - the subject. Great work.
