Hamer woman, a photo from Southern, South

Photographer's Note

Hamer are one of the tribes in Omo valley in southern Ethiopia. They are predominantly pasturalists. This woman was in the small town of Turmi where there is a weekly market.

The top necklace indicates that she is married and is her husbands first wife. the other two indicate that he has two other subsequent wives.

wow, incredible! this is just TOO good. wow again.
why on earth would a man want 3 wives? hahahaha
but that is an incredible top necklace, it looks heavy.
I guess its accepted that you're husband could be sleeping with other woman, very strange. She is quite beautiful, striking lines and shape of her bone structure. My favorite shot of yours. cheers
