Photographer's Note
While visiting the Komombo temple during a Nile cruise, also known as the temple of the crocodiles, I was lucky that we were there quite early in the morning before the sun would be high over.. The lateral light was creating nice patterns on the carvings, and I was about to start taking pictures when this guy appeared with a broom, and before I spoke or gestured, he took a position, which apparently matched what was carved on the wall.. It was a funny situation, of course he was after a bakhshish and I was after the light. But finally I found the picture attractive, perhaps more because of the direction of the light than the humoristic side.

Hi Izzet,
I liked your theme 'history and the present' only difference in their costumes and apearence. I think life is not moved from the past. Yes it's looks funny but also says too much. Good light on the wall. good composition

Bonjour Izzet.

Another very stunning picture from the land of the pharaons. I like here specially the light play that the hand of guy gives a respond of the shadowy extension part on the left side while the lateral lightning exagerate the three dimensional effect.. Best regards sir ihsan.

Some photos have a very timeless feel to them, and this is one of those. The ancient Egyptian panel with the carvings sure provides a great backdrop (and the angle of the lighting shows it so well) but when you add in the man with the broom this comes to life. Excellent work!

Humorous and wonderful. It's a unique decisive moment photo where men who are separated by millenia are juxtaposed in a single frame. The man's face could be selectively brightened just a bit. Selamlar,

haha, I hadn't notice his pose similar to the carvings before I read your note, Izzet, but what attracts me so much is the marvellous light and the way it made the drawings stand out so well. He is of course a nice bonus. Good framing, lovely situation captured.
A warm hug and a loud ronnnnr from my cats :)
