Photographer's Note
Three photos from Hurghada fishing harbour.
Hurghada is a beach resort town stretching some 40 km (!) along Egypt’s Red Sea coast. It is rather horrible. The luxury resorts for tourists are surrounded by incredible ugly places. full of dirt and garbage. Staying in the resort with all-inclusive is for me something incredibly boring. But in spite of it, with some effort, one can find fascinating places. The fish market is the most interesting I have ever seen. I have shown already the market for locals in Dahar. The new marina is touristy but elegant and nice. A trip with a boat with glass windows to observe the underwater world is also nice.
My trip to Egypt might be seen as controversial. Is it safe to travel to Egypt?
I think yes. I moved alone around in the afternoon and night and I felt safe. Of course, the souvenir vendors or horse carriage drivers can be annoying, but when I walked fast and showed no interest, it was OK. And the situation with the pandemic is much better than in Poland. When I came back, I had the test made at the Warsaw airport, I was negative. :). I had a fabulous trip and my decision to go was a good one. I was tired, so it was a fantastic opportunity to rest.
2021 is behind us. It was not only bad, but it was also a tragic year. We lost our friend Serghei here on TE, I lost a few other close friends. Let's hope for a healthy 2022.

Hello Malgo,
Happy New Year!
I like these three photos although I slightly prefer the WS. My favourite is the man and the mosque, while the picture with reflections has fewer details than this one. But never mind, I always look at all photos anyway. The bird is a nice detail in the main photo.
I wouldn't regard any country in the world as medically safe for the time being, but otherwise I experienced Egypt as very safe. Sometimes annoying, more so in touristy Luxor than in Cairo, but not dangerous. Of course I didn't experience any (very rare) extremist attack on tourists. Crowded streets and public transports in Cairo (and probably elsewhere) are notorious for sexual harassments of women, which also didn't trouble me.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Malgo
I like the colours and reflections in this image but the bird in the centre gives it extra life .

Hi Malgo,
The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the birds and of the boats. Feeling safe when you are travelling is good. I would not travelled outside of my country account of the COVID 19 even if I had my 3 doses of the vaccine, the virus is to volatile. Have a nice day.

Hello Malgo,
I find your "Altered Image #1" better than your main picture, also your "Altered Image #2" are very nice.
Maybe are your main picture a little bit to complicated.
Nice composition, good presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Ciao Malgo, three beautiful photos that show what little the old town and its fishing port has to offer. You certainly won't remember it as your best trip, and I know your ideas about all inclusive, which I love a lot. In Hurghada I ate the best strudel of my life, for breakfast at the hotel. Egypt has the advantage that people can live in open spaces even in winter, so infections are less common, otherwise it would be a catastrophe. Congratulations for the photos, really beautiful and good evening.Luciano

Czesc Malgosiu
Fajne zestawienie ksztaltow i kolorow, a ten ptak to bardzo dobry element kompozycji. Swietne zdjecia w WS, najbardziej podoba mi sie to z odbiciem meczetu w wodzie.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie
Kasia

Hello Malgo,
Is Egypt safe? As far as extremists are concerned, you can of course always have bad luck to meet the wrong person, but I have heard so many times that most Egyptians are very positive about foreign visitors.
In Aswan, a young man in a crowded street gave me a hard kick in the butt for no reason. Why? No idea. All the other people I met in Egypt were very correct and friendly.
A female friend who worked in Egypt for several years told me that Egyptian men in the street secretly dared to pinch her buttocks. That while she was always properly dressed.
As for COVID-19, nowhere in the world it's really safe.
In Flanders, 81% of the total population has been fully vaccinated and yet we have many new infections every day.
I like all three pictures here but would have chosen one of both photos in the WS as main photo. Their very bright and so colourful but I do respect your preference.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Malgo
We both had to have tests the other day - fortunately both negative.
I'm also with you on resorts. I totally avoid them. Three interesting photos from the port with the main interesting rather than beautiful but technically perfect.
cheers

Wonderfully how you used the available light over the boats and water, the rreflection is just perfect.

I liked more the last WS, but the other images are interesting too. I guess I won't want to visit this area, concentrating my time in the valley of Nile and its monuments. I am ever dealing with the time while travelling.
take care

Hello Malgo,
I like the reflections in two of the three photos. It's a shame that the tourist resorts do not benefit the local population all that much.
