As I said before, in the dry São Vicente Island, drinking water is produced in desalination plants. The water is delivered by truck to some areas outside Mindelo city centre. The less poor families have water tanks above the house, where the water is stored, like this case in Baía das Gatas. In the workshop there is an even older truck.
When the NATO troops were here, they produced also their own water and used their trucks to carry it.

Very intresting view, the picture tells the story of the water shortage in the area, it happens also in Pakistan in the big cities also , when in the hot summer the water is short and people then running to buy the water but even ready for spending a big money for water they are unable to get the water on time, big drama in the summer here in many cities in Pakistan due to water shortage.

O bem mais essencial que temos. Espero que um dia isto tudo não se transforme numa espécie de Mad Max, em que a água vale ouro. Boa captura deste fornecimento para o terraço da casa feioca. Aquelas portas no 1º piso não abrem para uma varanda, o que é estranho. Os camiões são engraçados e este faz um belo contraste de cor.
