Photographer's Note

One of my first shot in Angola. I usually spent my sunday close to the sea when I was there. This place was the harbour from which we could take a boat to the Mussulo island in front of Luanda.

This view was taken from the local harbour called Futungo about 10 miles south of Luanda if I remember well. One can see the birds attracted by the fishes left by the seamen. On the background, we can also notice the crowd gathering on the pontoon to get a boat.

At this time, I found the framing interesting due to this bright red painting on the boat. Now, I'm aware the picture looks quite empty on the right part. Still I like it as a good remembrance of this experience I lived in this remote country during almost one year and a half.
