Photographer's Note

El Atteuf is a small city, within Ghardaia Province. The alleys in this city are so small and steep that the transport (of people, luggage, garbage etc.) is possible only by donkeys.
One of my colleagues remarked that watching photos from Ghardaia Province you could think that people still live there in the 15th century...

Hi Macief,

Poor little donkey with such a load to carry! I like the way you captured the donkey and boy just as they came through the narrow gateway. Nice colours too, but the plastic bags and box of bamanas give it away as not being in the 15th century.
