Hello Gert, It is a nice picture, especially, I like the beautiful light and shadows on the building. I see here two women, one is sitting on the bench, another is using her mobile. But there are interesting remarks in your note. I have no problems with taking photos of children. Maybe because I am an old woman. Several times I was asked not to show photos on social media. And I can understand it very well. I very rarely show photos of my granddaughter.
But another paragraph is curious. "Most women here have qualified jobs and will not accept sole responsibility for children and household". Does it mean that in other parts it is different? Do the women have no qualified jobs there? Or in older families it is different? Also playing with children on a sunny day is not such a hard job.
In my family, I have a qualified job AND I am still solely responsible for children and the household (and "children" are rather big). But in my elder son family, he does all the work with the child and home.
best regards MAlgo

Thank you Malgo,
I also thought the person with the phone might have been a woman, but after looking closely I am sure it's a man. This area is the most gentrified, trendy and "modern" part of Södermalm, which in its turn is the most gentrified part of Stockholm, and probably the entire country. There are quite large differences of social status and attitudes between different parts of the city (as in all cities). Of course there are other areas that are similar to this regarding incomes, status of jobs, attitudes, political affiliations. The note doesn't say this is the only place where young women have qualified jobs and won't accept gender inequality. But the political parties that are most similar to PiS have very little support here. ;-) Regards, Gert |
