Hello Gert
A fine picture which you cropped well to the pano format. The red colour dominates, but I cannot help ask what is the white structure in the far BG. Has the mud structure being painted white?
Your picture allows our eyes to sweep into the centre of the picture absorbing the details
Best Regards

Thank you Angshu for your kind comments.
I think the white structure and the red one just to the left are both tombs of revered Islamic scholars. I have no idea why one of them is white. Maybe that scholar was more important and needed something special. This kind of tombs of Islamic saints are quite common in north and west Africa. When radical "jihadists" occupied northern Mali last year they destroyed several similar structures in the famous city of Timbuktu because they regarded them as a crime against their own "true" version of the religion.
