Great sAner 2005-01-19 6:22

Hello Andy,

I think this is a very nice picture! Did you use a long shuttertime (hence the tripod)? I like the colors on the right (the blue-ish and the red-ish). Very well done. I think you used an analogue camera and scanned this picture, right? It is a little bit grainy but very nice nevertheless. Did you try to sharpen it up a little bit?

Default To sAner: Boat Quay Picture

Hi Pieter.
I don't remember the shutter speed, but it can't have been more than a couple of seconds, as the man in the foreground hasn't moved far. This picture was digitised by the mini-lab, I got a set of prints from the film and a CD containing 300dpi images. That's probably why it looks more grainy than a purely digital image would have done. I have sharpened the image once after shrinking it, otherwise it's original.
