Great Merline 2007-12-29 4:07

Hello Hugh,
hmmm, difficult choice...:-)

Wonderful the way you show so many details very deep behind the glass, the exposure is great, the woman in the "Bergamote" gives the final touch to the composition, she really fits in the style...
I would agree with Floydian but also I think that as a documentary pic the two places fit very well together. It's really two pics in one, well done! :-)

Warm regards, thank you
Michèle

P.S. what is that skylight you mention in the camera information ? a filter ?

Default To Merline: Skylight

Hi, Michèle. Yes, the skylight filter is a UV filter. I use it really just for protection of my lens. Its effect on digital sensors is supposed to be negligible. On film it works to mitigate a certain spectrum of sunlight that make colors on film look blue. Thanks for your comments. Have a great evening. Best, -Hugh
