Excellent composition, excellent light - colour and contrast, beautiful boat, I have never seen sail on a boat like this before, thanks fore show, great photo.

Default To yesterday: Sails

Hello Kaj and thanks for your comment. The sails of the "bisquine" (it's the type of this boat) are indeed very special and very beautiful. They were use to harvest oysters in deep water and then had to be very powerful to be able to move the "harvest machine" with only sail power (I'm sorry, I'm really at loss for English words to describe this machine). Also, they were used for regatta in the Mont Saint Michel Bay (at the end of the 19th century). You can see many more picture of this boat in my gallery, or in a theme I have created : Bisquines.
