Thanks for the comment. I too have salt in my veins. As the daughter of a seaman/fisherman, I grew up on the sea and still live within it's sound. On quiet nights I can hear the surf pounding 6km away. Your pictures of the surf look very similar to ours. Is the water always that dirty or is that from rain?

Unfortunalely the water here doesn't get much cleaner than that. We're on the Coastal Bend where the Continental Shelf extends 100 miles from shore...This is caused by runoff from the Mississippi, Trinity, San Jacinto and Brazos Rivers(I probably forgot a few)...From Corpus Christi to South Padre the water is much clearer and the surf a lot bigger(deep water is realitively close to shore)...It does get nice here when the water is calm or a SE wind pushes green(clear) water in. During the summer months, barring a Hurricane, we call it the Lake of Mexico(not Gulf) because the surf goes flat...Well, have a great day...
