Hi Neil,
I think that this photo too illustrates very well the (disappearing) old Beijing - maybe the B&W gives the photo an austerity that some people don't like, and maybe one needs to have been in China to understand - anyway, I like it !
The movement and curves of the tiles is lovely.
NB : If you'd like to get more points, you should be more visible : great that you are featured on TE's 1st page, but if you don't critique the photos from other members, not many persons will notice you ; please, take some time to visit other people's gallery, and critique their photos and give your idea...
