Great whitefrog 2005-12-09 11:49

I like how the clouds dissapear at the middle of the photo where the mountains give a way to water. All merge at the same point. I am just wondering if it would look better when you would removed a part of the sky, so that it balances the portion of see at the bottom. Thanks for sharing!

Default To whitefrog: More sea, less sky?

Thanks Tulun. I appreciate your comment about the proportion of sky to sea. I thought about applying the 1/3rd - 2/3rd formula, but I thought it would spoil the effect to lose any of the sky or to show any more of the sea.

The sky was so beautiful and it was a big change from the grey clouds that were still directly over us and which you can just see (intentionally!) at the top of the photo. The sea, with the rain hammering down on it, was bland in comparison to the sky but it gave a good contrast.

Regards,
David.

Indeed the clouds look good like this, they must stay. And I realized that the water is almost purple in color, amazing! Best, Tulun
