Hello Jorge,
This building looks quite plain and simple in spite of being known as a palace. Maybe a small and remote town couldn't afford anything more magnificent. The photo is well exposed and I like the contrasts of blue and white.
Regards,
Gert

the gold was discovered in this region and attracted many people, but the gold was gone fast and other big mines were found in Mato Grosso, a region much more inland. the ones who decided to stay in goiás survived by agriculture and cattle, the region was very poor as you will see in the samples of the colonial churches I will post; they were made of timber and clay and with no gold adornments in the main altars, something usual in Minas gerais, bahia and Rio. take care jorge. |
