hello Bev, What a great idea to support charity and to visit beautiful gardens. I see here the pink and blue Aquilegia Vulgaris. You should go somewhen to visit the Festival de Los Patios in Cordoba, it is also the only opportunity to see amazing private gardens.
And what about the snails in your garden? I have a real invasion this wet year. They have eaten many flowers marigolds are their favourite. I out the small jars with beer as a trap. In the night the jar is full. I hate these homeless snails,brrr.

Thank you for your critique, Malgo.
Those aquilega are very prolific and seed themselves everywhere! We have had a very dry spell, recently. No rain to speak of for well over two weeks so snails have not been a big problem. I also have lots of robins and the occasional thrush who help to keep the numbers down! WE have invested in nematodes some years, which are very effective but expensive and need to be replaced every year. Other than that, I throw the snails into my recycling bin and squash slugs!! Night time is the best time to catch them! Kind regards, Bev :-)
