Hello Peter -

Thank you for the comments. Yes light management was a difficult go on this one as I liked the scene so much I went for it anyway. Since I was so close to the sun I did OE the sky near the left corner and let everything else fall where it may. The highlights in the red flowers, or should I say the back lighting, is what drew my initial attention to the scene as well as the golden haze over the BG and the grass highlights in the FG. This was a dual RAW processed image, sky and then foreground with the mid tones being blended. I really debated whether to post this image or not because of the lighting. Well, it was an experiment both in exposure and composition as well as post processing. I still like it but it could be better in my book.

Thank you for the comments, as you know they are greatly appreciated. Enjoy the rain you are getting as it will turn to snow in Colorado this evening.

John
