Hello Les,
Oh dear, I see that Gladys has hauled you out of bed at sunrise - doesn't she realise that a young lad like you needs his sleep? And, what's more, shouldn't that poor tree be charging you royalties for the number of times you have photographed it?
Seriously, this is a beautiful photograph and well worth all the pain and suffering of an early rise. The bent tree certainly makes a statement as also does the mist clinging to the distant valleys, but what really makes this one so special for me is the subtle warm early morning sunlight on the stubble in the nearest foreground.
This picture typifies what an early summer morning is all about - that wonderful freshness, the early morning light, the promise of a glorious day ahead, that there really is a God above, and the true feeling that life really is worth living!
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello John,
thanks for your kind and sympathetic words they are much appreciated. We have noted this tree before but have been unable to gain access as the field was cultivated, however on this occasion the field had been harvested and the gate open, too good a chance to miss! Kind regards Les. ![]() |
