Hello Keith,
There is no doubt that the details of the abbey are very crisp in your photograph and the upwards viewpoint certainly makes us feel we are ascending to Heaven.
However, I always hate to see such lens distortion on photographs so I wondered how you would feel about the 'Steps to Heaven', and their surroundings, being more more direct.
I have done a little workshop.

Bev, I'm never offended by workshops done on my images. After all, one of the major purposes of TE is discussion of the images and suggesting alternatives.
The crop and re-working has definitely created an image with more impact. I often do work before posting, but my old computer died a while ago and I had to move to new software. I haven't had any practice with it so safer for me just to post the original in this instance.
