NY is allways a great source for photographers. I agree with you: it is an unique city. Your picture shows an interesting architectural an cultural contrast. The foreground building looks like a mosque not a church

The building in clouds offers a more interesting reflection with other buildings also there. Having a higher level of glass, being offset and corner facing has created the interest in this photo. The tighter POV creating the stretched perspective also helps
