Hi Warren,
I think you broke the technical rules with a brilliant result. There is no real black or white in your photo and some say that the white balance is not correct but who cares? The mood is much more important that technical details.
It has somehow a dreamy feeling...How can you not like something like this?
Thank you,
Nelu

Default To Nelu_Goia: Thanks

Thanks for the encouraging comment. Not quite sure that technical rules were broken willingly. It's just the Norman clouds that render the photo as it is. Still it is a great place to visit, even better with a nice light - next time perhaps.
Cheers
Warren

Hi Warren,
What rules? Good question!
Well, just to be exact, I downloaded your photo and opened it up in Photoshop and I see that the brightest level in the picture is has the following values: Red=234,Green=235,Blue=231.
Ideally they should be all around 250-252 (255 is absolute white) . As an example I will post a workshop to show the difference this change would make. Of course, these are the rules but once you know them you can break them, right?:)
Anyway, I like your photo and that`s why I took the time for the critique and workshop.
Regards,
Nelu
