Edit critique time limit

Hi Steph,
Thank you for your comment regarding an extension to the time limit on critiquing a posting, as you can see the response hasn't been overwhelming to this item, but it is one of those aspects of TE that causes inconvenience from time to time. I think what Didi said about locking the "smilies" is a good solution as this is the reason the time limit was brought in in the first place. From a personal point of view, any additional time to the limit on editing critiques would be an advantage. Generally once a critique is written and added to a post a time limit doesn't come into effect, it is only when one decides at a later stage to add further remarks to the critique, correct a mistake or in my case decide to upload a workshop and comment on the workshop that it is an advantage to add additional information to the original critique.

You can avoid that and other recent problems if you go to the old good TE: http://beta.trekearth.com/.

From time to time I still use Beta Francisco. But the only thing is that, you cannot see the newly uploaded photos. You have to wait for a while to see the newest ones. Except for this Beta is the best.

I am new to TE and didn't realize that there was a 15 minute time limit to edit a critique. I made a mistake and time is up. I cannot fix my mistake and it is enormously frustrating. There should be an option to edit or delete a crit if one changes ones mind at any time. Does someone have an explanation as to why this is not possible?

I am baffled and annoyed because my critique is a waste and I can't fix it.

Yana, there are many people saying the same thing, and we have had discussion threads about this before. There must be a time limit, but the 15 minutes is possibly a little too short. The Moderators might have time to discuss this again soon. In the meantime, if you have made an extremely serious error you could contact me or Keith (see above) for help.
