To wawa: Penguins are not aggressive

Penguins are not aggressive when a human being is approaching them, and we are not perceived as predators. So I was just sitting quietly, observing the feeding, not making sudden moves, and when the Sheathbill took off, I fired.

Maybe my surprise comes from my experience of being attacked by a bird trying to protect it's nest or from some 1960 movie, whio knows ?

Birds do attack human beings in places where people hunt them.

Fortunately people do not hunt and kill penguins in Antarctica. The few people who get there are nature aware.
